Confirm the provider’s lab order, patient information, tests requested, and lab destination.
Collect the specimen
Perform the blood draw, urine collection, swab, or other ordered specimen.
Process specimens
Centrifuge, separate, refrigerate, or prepare samples according to lab requirements.
Package safely
Place specimens in biohazard bags with the order form and prepare for delivery or shipping.
Deliver or ship to the lab
Drop off specimens or ship them following lab instructions.
